Abortion Care Study - uOttawa
Researchers at the University of Ottawa are recruiting participants for a study on abortion care in Canada during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We would like to conduct 90-minute telephone interviews with anyone who had an abortion in Canada during the COVID-19 pandemic. You are eligible to participate if you:
1 – Have had an abortion on or
after March 15, 2020
2 – Were living in Canada at the time
3 – Are sufficiently fluent in English or French to answer interview questions
4 – Have access to a telephone or Zoom
During the interview, we will ask you a series of questions about your background, your reproductive health history, and the circumstances surrounding the pregnancy that was terminated.
We will also ask you to tell us about your experience obtaining an abortion during the pandemic and we will ask you to tell us about ways in which you think that services could be improved.
All participants will receive a $40 gift certificate to www.amazon.ca. Participation is both voluntary and confidential. Spots for this study are filled on a first come, first served basis.
If you would like more information about the study or research team, or if you are interested in participating, please contact Srishti (Study Coordinator) ws-stu01@uottawa.ca or Dr. Angel M. Foster (Principal Investigator) at angel.foster@uottawa.ca
