Appointment Information
Medication Abortion Appointments
You will need to read the Medical Abortions page prior to booking, This gives you important information on what to expect at your appointment and during the procedure. Appointments can be made by phone or by requesting a call back on our Medication Booking Form below.
Before contacting us please:
- Make sure you have had a positive pregnancy test. Home pregnancy tests or from a health care provider are accepted.
- We will need to know the first date of your last period (if you know it) and the date needs to be 10 weeks or less from the first day of your last period on the day of your appointment
- Make sure you have read about Medication Abortions here.
- Expect to spend 5 to 10 minutes on the phone when booking your appointment or when we call you back. You may want to phone from somewhere private as we will be asking you some personal questions and giving you some more information.
- Please have your BC medical number (PHN) with you if you have one.
- A referral from a doctor is welcome but not required. If you would like we can send a letter to your doctor about your visit.
If you require an interpreter, you will need someone to assist you with the initial phone call and then we can arrange for telephone interpretation services for your appointments.
Once you are ready with all of the above information you can call us or fill out the call request form below.

Appointments times are usually booked within a few business days.
IUD/Implant Appointments
Appointments must be made by phone or by requesting a call by filling this form IUD/Implant Booking Form.
Before contacting us please have the following ready:
- Make sure you have read about IUDs here or Implants here
- If the IUD is for Emergency Contraception, please call us directly because we need to make sure we can get your appointment within 7 days of unprotected sex.
- Please make sure to have your BC medical number (PHN) with you if you have one.
- Referral from a doctor is welcome but not required. If you would like we can send a letter to your doctor about your visit.
If you require an interpreter, please let us know and we can assist with telephone interpretation services.
Once you are ready with all of the above information you can call us or fill out form below.

We will try to call you back as soon as possible 7 – 10 business days to schedule the appointment. Even if you have filled out the form, feel free to call us directly for quicker service.
Pre appointment IUD Instructions:
- We have asked you to come in 10 min prior to your scheduled time as you will need to fill out forms and provide a urine sample.
- Your appointment will be approximately 45-60 minutes.
- Please make sure you have had something to eat and take some naproxen (Aleve) 1 hr before your scheduled time.
- Please bring a pad with you, as you may have some bleeding. (If you are bleeding on your appointment day this is fine. We will still insert the IUD)
- If you are picking up your IUD at the pharmacy on the main floor of our building, please arrive at least 30 min prior to your appointment to allow the pharmacy time to process your prescription.
Pre appointment IMPLANT Instructions:
- We have asked you to come in 10 min prior to your scheduled time as you will need to fill out forms and provide a urine sample.
- Insertion only: Your appointment will be approximately 30 – 45 min
- Removal and insertion/Removal Only: Your appointment will be approximately 1 hour.
- If you are picking up your Implant at the pharmacy on the main floor of our building, please arrive at least 30 min prior to your appointment to allow the pharmacy time to process your prescription.
Vasectomy Appointments
- Please read our vasectomy page completely before requesting an appointment.
Referral Required: We are now ACCEPTING NEW REFERRALS for appointments. We are currently booking 3 – 4 months away. - If you do not have a family doctor – you can go to a walk in clinic or book with a BC virtual physician to obtain the referral.
- Please have your physician fax us a referral 604-251-8842.
**Once we receive the faxed referral from your doctor we will contact you within a few months with the password to fill out the booking form.**
